Everyday Skincare Routine.

I never used to be concerned with skin care but I’ve recently become very into it. Here I’ll be sharing with you my skin care routine and some of my favorite products.
After a long day at school I come home and I use the Garnier Micellar water ($7) with a cotton pad to remove my eye make up. After that I use the Neutrogena night calming makeup wipes ($8) on my face and to get off any excess eye make up. Once this is done I exfoliate using the St. Ives blemish control face scrub ($6, I suggest looking into this product before buying it because I’ve heard a lot of complaints about it but it works great on my skin). If I notice my pores still look like they need to be cleaned I then use the Bioré pore strips. I swear by these things, they’re absolutely amazing.
Now that I’m done with cleaning my skin I work on hydrating it. I use a gel based moisturizer because oil based moisturizers cause me to break out. I use either the Tarte drink of H2O or the Neutrogena Hydro Boost moisturizer (if you want to see my reviews on both please see my next post!). I then use the Clinique pep-start eye cream to help correct darkness under my eyes and avoid bags ($26, I also use this product when I wake up in the morning). I keep both of my Mario Badescu facial sprays on my nightstand and I spritz them on my face before I fall asleep and just randomly throughout the day. I find that they’re extremely refreshing and they feel great on my skin.

Everyday Makeup routine:

Step 1: Foundation

Since my skin is dry, we decided on the Georgiou Armani foundation was the best way to go. I had always applied it with my hands, but I learned how to use my liquid foundation brush. First, you use your fingers to dab the product in 4 spots on your face. Then use the brush to blend it. On your forehead, brush back and forth. On your cheeks, brush down and away from the center of your face. And on your chin, also brush back and forth.

Step 2: Concealer

Lately I have been using Nars creamy concealer for my acne spots as well as under my eyes. Before doing this, I add d a drop of moisturizer to my brush before adding the product. Then dab the product about 4 times under my eyes. Smooth with the brush, then use your middle finger to lightly dab underneath your eyes. The heat of your finger helps blend the concealer even more for a really natural finish.

Step 3: Powder

I have been using the Laura mercer powder because it locks in makeup for long-lasting wear, without adding weight or texture. This bestseller creates a modern, matte finish with a touch of sheer coverage, while it absorbs oil and reduces shine all day. The pros know why it's their favorite: the powder is a little denser than an average powder, providing super smooth, even application and blending. This no-flashback formula means you'll look great in photos, and it creates a soft-focus effect to subtly blur the look of fine lines and imperfections. It will not settle into fine lines or pores and never looks cakey.  Love Love Love this powder.

Step 4: Blush

For blush I have been using the Mac one in the color peaches, I feel like this color best suites me because of my pale white skin. Its the most universally flattering shade of color. On fair skin, peach is especially flattering if your complexion has yellow undertones. It has orange and yellow tones, so it enhances the natural flush.

Step  5: Eyes

For eyes, the only thing I do is mascara. I like having a very simple and natural eye look. Lately I have been using the roller lash by benefit.

Step 6: Setting spray

No matter what season it is, you want your makeup to be in place all day. Before I started using setting spray, my makeup never stayed all day. By the end of every day, my eyeliner was smeary, my brows were a mess, and my lipstick was gone. Now if I didn’t have my setting spray with me, I would not go out! The urban decay setting spray is my absolute must haves for an every day use.
